Fiction Express – Boolino
Fiction Express is an award-winning literacy resource designed to improve all areas of literacy: reading; writing; spelling, punctuation & grammar; and speaking & listening. The resource improves poor reading habits by getting children excited about reading, through the power of a deeply engaging experience of co-creation between pupils and authors.
Fiction Express is offering teachers a unique and complete literacy solution:
– Covering all four aspects of literacy in line with the curriculum
– Easy to integrate in lesson planning
– Continuous assessment, monitoring learning outcomes and progress
– High level of pupil motivation and personalised, cross-curricular learning paths
– Great value for money, 80% (or more) cheaper than a similar amount of paper books (cost per pupil)
Our stories are published in weekly instalments. Each week, pupils read the chapter and, at the end, are rewarded with the option to vote to decide what happens next. The author then writes the following chapter in real time.
Pupils also interact with the author and other readers from around the world on the online book forum, to actively participate in the creative story-writing process. Outstanding and original pupil contributions are rewarded with certificates by our editorial team.

(2) Use it in conjunction with IPEVO Visualizer software to wirelessly display the live images onto a Mac, Windows PC, or Chromebook. In this way, teachers can access the advanced features in Visualizer. Also, as iDocCam is compatible with 3rd party video conferencing software such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Skype, teachers can use it to deliver online lessons by using the screen-sharing feature of these software to share the live feed.

Renaissance – Accelerated Reader
Renaissance Accelerated Reader is a guided independent reading programme that motivates students to read for pleasure. It allows pupils to read a book, take comprehension quizzes and receive instant feedback. The programme is used by pupils and teachers in 75 countries worldwide. Schools can easily track pupils’ performance by tracking their quiz results when reading books of different levels. The quizzes incentivise children to want to read more to quiz again, fostering a culture of reading and improving literacy across schools.
In schools globally, AR gives students significantly greater choice in levelled books and quizzes than any comparable reading programme. Globally, over 250,000 reading practice quizzes are available on books from hundreds of publishers and imprints. Independent of any publishing interests and suitable for students of primary and secondary age, AR ensures that there are plenty of books to interest every reader available on the programme.
Pupils develop reading skills most effectively when they read books difficult enough to keep them engaged but not so difficult that they become frustrated. AR will calculate each pupils’ own ‘Zone of Proximal Development’ then recommend books based on this so no pupils is left behind in their learning journey.
