Rather than focusing on just one feature release, our entry covers a number of new features, services and workstreams (including AI and live national benchmarking).
In 2022/3, we released 839 new features and made 2,050 improvements to our Management Information System (MIS). We also created a brand new R&D team: Team Innovation. This team is dedicated to:

BOOKR Class is a multifaceted learning tool designed to enhance English language skills and reading comprehension, equipping users with essential capabilities for navigating today’s globalized world.
It utilizes storytelling to develop English as a Foreign or Second Language skills, featuring over 1000 animated books, songs, and nursery rhymes, 4000+ flashcards, and 5000+ educational games to fortify implicit grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension, allowing for rapid mastery of a new language.
The diverse range of content, including folk tales, fairy tales, classic and contemporary literature, aids in the cultivation of 21st-century and social-emotional skills. Children learn empathy and emotional understanding through relatable characters and narratives, made more comprehensible due to context, coherence, and familiar genres.
Special scaffolding features of BOOKR, such as illustration, animation, and narration, make narratives engaging, immersive, and easily understood, fostering a positive attitude to reading and enriching language experience.

EvidenceB has developed a cutting-edge, evidence-based Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) that merges Artificial Intelligence (AI) research and Cognitive Science (CS). Our adaptive learning ITS is available in a Software as a Service (SaaS) mode, effectively addressing learning challenges in K12, Higher Education, and professional training. Rooted in CS and powered by award-winning AI, our curriculum-agnostic designs are tailored to specific educational programs. Evidence-based gameplays and data-driven AI engine foster deep understanding of core concepts, even among low-performing students. Teachers benefit from analytical dashboards that empower them to make pedagogical differentiation decisions in their classrooms.

Our core belief is that ‘research in, research out’ leads to the most significant impact on learning. As a result, our tool facilitates the acceleration of research on learning in diverse contexts and aids in understanding the connection between adaptive technology utilization and diverse concept learning.
With the launch of ChatGPT, the global education community was pulled in many different directions and many unanswered questions arose – Are AI writing tools good? Are they bad? Should they be used in education?
Turnitin had been working on identifying indicators of AI writing tool use for nearly 2 years when ChatGPT launched, making AI writing accessible worldwide. However, the rapid adoption of ChatGPT led to the accelerated development of Turnitin’s AI writing detection feature.
Turnitin’s AI writing detection feature is integrated into existing product workflows to ensure ease of use and adoption. In addition to the indicator score, users received an AI writing report featuring additional information on where and how much AI writing tools are used.
More than 99.5 million submissions have been successfully processed through Turnitin’s AI writing detection feature. 10.1% of all submissions have a score indicating the presence of above 20% AI written text. More than 97% of eligible users have Turnitin’s AI writing indication feature turned on in at least one account.
In addition to the AI writing detection feature, we provide best practice guidance, content and resources to support responsible integration of AI writing and detection tools in classrooms and policies.

Redmenta is an AI-powered, time-saving content-creator tool for teachers.
Active Learning effectively engages students, but implementing this approach in a learning environment takes significant time. And time is a limited resource for teachers.
With Redmenta, teachers can save 2-4 hours of work by generating, e.g. a problem-based worksheet, e-learning material and even tests or quizzes. In Redmenta, students can conduct and document research, create concept boards and problem maps, process the information by discussing the topic with the AI Chat, and record their video presentations.

Tassomai’s team has recognised AI’s potential to radically transform their products, starting with the addition of a virtual “AI-tutor” to their award-winning retrieval practice platform.
Their AI-tutor, “Mai” was developed over the summer of 2023 ready to beta test with selected schools and families at the start of the 23/24 academic year.
Mai represents a potential game changer for Tassomai, and for users of the platform, particularly those students who would not typically have access to private tuition. Thanks to the diligent efforts of Tassomai’s development team, Mai’s ability to help and guide students is simply remarkable.

TeachMateAI.com launched at the end of March 2023 with a clear mission: to reduce teacher workload and improve learning experiences by harnessing generative AI for all in education.
At the time of writing, in 6 short months, TeachMateAI has amassed over 70,000 users worldwide, grown a suite of over 80+ AI tools, featured on BBC The One Show, and been inundated by teachers’ praise for the product – it’s been quite the journey and one rooted in innovation.
TeachMateAI harnesses and enhances the power of generative AI for educators through model-training, prompt design, software integrations and a few nifty tricks we’ve developed. The result is a tool which enables all teachers, not just the tech-savvy with the time and inclination to explore large language models, to benefit from the transformation power of generative AI in education. So far we’ve done this for 70,000 teachers and counting.
