Academically, university life is often very stressful and overwhelming for students. Students’ intense workload and course and study requirements can be extremely challenging.
Being in the unique position of working closely with students, we (the founders of Pro-Study) we listened to their study and writing challenges and created a product that would enable them to collect and organise their research in an accessible and easy to use format. Pro-Study and the companion app Project Assist has been helping students to reduce the stress associated with university work since 2016.
Pro-Study supports the student’s study strategies such as organisation and time management, project management, exporting research into Word, and accurately creating a bibliography taking the stress out of referencing.
Tested and proven, Pro-Study is used by over 20,000 thousand higher education students in the United Kingdom. It is an approved Assistive Technology software in the government funded Disabled Student Allowance (DSA) scheme. It has been purposely developed to help students who may face challenges with their university work and also those with additional needs.
SAGE Publishing – SAGE Catalyst
SAGE Catalyst is a new teaching and learning tool providing unlimited, university-wide access to over 700 premium social science textbooks with virtual collaboration, classroom discussion, and peer-to-peer learning. SAGE Catalyst is a result of SAGE and Talis coming together to work on a unique and valuable product offering to meet the demand for online and blended learning, amplified by the switch to remote teaching during COVID-19. Our overriding mission is to support libraries in breaking down barriers to knowledge by ensuring equitable access to learning materials, and also faculty in increasing student engagement and satisfaction. Over 25 HE institutions across the EMEA and Asia-Pacific regions already subscribe to SAGE Catalyst.
The full SAGE Catalyst collection is currently not available anywhere else online. It has been carefully developed to give comprehensive coverage across the full social science curriculum. SAGE Catalyst is powered by Talis Elevate – a platform that brings discussion into course content. Faculty can embed chapters directly into their VLE and view analytics at course, resource, and student level. Faculty and students can add comments directly within the texts and interact in virtual classroom discussion. This helps to increase student engagement through collaboration.
